Well, I finally finished this book, which is saying a lot among the various sicknesses and general chaos running amok in our house lately. My feelings of angst never did completly diminish with this book, but I felt a bit more at peace by the end.
Next on my list is Wicked, which is very long and I hear very politically charged. It's a different telling of the Wizard of Oz - I believe it makes the reader sympathetic to the Witch. Has anyone read it? This was my contribution to the book exchange, so we'll see how I did.
I will also be doing a word study on the "kingdom of heaven" in the Bible over the next couple of days. Does anyone have a favorite thought or verse to help guide my study? Or suggestions?

Kami,
Suggestion on "Kingdom of Heaven": Go to jesuscreed.org, Scot McKnight's website, and read his blog. He's done TONS of writing on this topic. I keep wanting to dig into this too...very interesting, and one of Jesus' most used phrases. Hope you all are having a great week and enjoying a bit of sunshine!
Thanks! I look forward to digging into another blog and finding out about his take on the kingdom of heaven.
I don't know about the book, but Wicked is going on the road next year with Broadway across America. They will be in Portland and I'm thinking about going with my hubby. When you finish the book you will have to let me know if it is one you would recommend. I could never follow all of the symbolism in The Wizard of Oz, but it's a challenge to try.
