Fun With Auntie Sarah

We had the pleasure of hosting Sarah (she's back from Japan, yay!) overnight on Friday night, due to some loud house remodeling going on at her abode. We had so much fun doing girlie things like watching "Elizabeth, The Golden Age" (neither one of us would recommend that movie and we ended up turning it off at what felt like four hours into the movie. Yawn.), hashing over my latest issues of "US Weekly" and "Entertainment Weekly" (yep, I get them both. Sad, I know), and just hanging out with the boys. Oh, and a big thanks to Sarah for taking that suprise poopy diaper - he he. Anyway, here are some pictures I took from yesterday's walk. I've discovered that if I have Samuel ride his bike for about 1/2 hour a day, he takes an amazing nap and goes to bed exhausted at night - all you mommas should give it a try, if you haven't already.
Don't you love Jude's hair in this one? And what is he looking at?

Samuel loves his bike.

As it turns out, Jude has hand, foot and mouth disease. That would explain why he's been so warm, sleeping so much and the sudden onset of blistery, leperosy looking blisters on his, well, his hands, mouth and feet. Ugh. I only drop him at church 1-2 times a week and he's always catching something. I can't imagine how sick he would be if I dropped him off at daycare every day! How is it that Jude has had so many more illnesses than Samuel, and I ate organic while pregnant with Jude and have fed him only the most nutritious foods, and while pregnant with Samuel, I had a steady diet of gorgonzola bacon bugers and whatever I fancied at Red Robin?

In answer to the "Why is Jude developing more illnesses" question I leave you with this: all the crap you ate during Samuel's gestation prepared him for the disease-ridden, infested world. Jude was way-too sheltered in your womb and, therefore, unprepared for the grime. He's got to build up his immunity the hard way :( I wish him a speedy recovery!
