Just Like Old Times.

A long time ago I met a girl on the bus to middle school that loved the same Cover Girl lipslicks and Exclamation! perfume as me. Katie and I have been fast friends ever since. Until the fateful day that she got married and moved 3,000 miles away. I haven't been able to forgive her since. Just kidding. At any rate, Kate made a rare visit to Oregon this last week and spent a couple of nights with me. With four kids to wrangle between us, it wasn't quite like old times but something of a new norm, if you will. We sporadically watched "Pride and Prejudice" and stuffed ourselves with cinnamon rolls (thank you, Pioneer Woman). Good times!

Here is her sweet little boy, Micah:
And Karli got to hang out with us for awhile - it really was great having girl time.
