Family Fishing Trip 2013
We went on an impromptu family fishing trip in Canby this week and each of the kids caught a fish! It was really great family bonding time.
Below is Abe reeling in his fish. He was squealing in delight!
Jude was showing him how to touch the fish.
Can you tell Sissy was a wee bit tired and hot in this picture? It was during naptime, after all :)
Jude really thought he could catch the ducks, if he gave them enough food.
This was the fish Jude caught.
And Colin told the boys that kissing a fish would bring more fish in - so Samuel went in for the kiss. Blech.
The kids were hovering around the ducks here.

This was before they caught anything - Sissy really didn't understand why she just sat there and waited for something to happen. I think fishing is a bit too passive of a hobby for her!

Ooohhhh, grandma wishes she could have been fishing with you all. But there would be no kissing the fish for me!!!
You said this was in Canby?! Where exactly? It looks like a great spot!
Meghan - it's called Canby Pond, I think. They fill it with trout for kids to go fishing. It's great! Not sure what street it was on - we went all the way through Canby and then turned left and it was in a little park setting.
