December Daily - Day 14

Today was simple: it was about cookies! Well, the kids and I went to church and came home for rests, but then dove into making cookies. Not sure why I always take these messy projects on by myself when Colin isn't around, but they sure enjoyed every minute of it! I make the dough, let it chill, roll it out and then let them each choose 2 cookie cutters, They cut them and waited while they baked and cooled. They spent a fair amount of time decorating them. I so love seeing these experiences through their eyes.

Another random note I want to remember is that Samuel always runs and gets me my Peete's coffee voluntarily while I sit in the car with the kids. He loves ordering, paying and waiting for the drink. And I love that I'm training up my son to be a good husband someday :)

My mother-in-law came with us to church and we rode in her nice new van with a DVD player. The kids watched "Despicable Me" and it was such a quiet ride. I can see why parents like that feature..
