Sissy did a cow unit for school and one day the activity was to make butter. We ran to Trader Joe's to get whipping cream and upon returning, we each took turns shaking it in a jar. It took 20 minutes and Samuel did most of the work. Afterward, they each ate the butter on some crackers.

Butter Making.
Sometimes when homeschooling multiple kids, everyone wants to do the kindergarten activity. Scratch that. Every day, every kid wants to do the kindergarten activity. I can't really blame them - I would actually rather do coloring and cutting activities with the kids than struggle through math or fight over handwriting. This year has been a game changer for me as far as homeschool goes - I'm an artistic person by nature, so I'm letting homeschool be more artistic. I want my kids to enjoy learning.

I can't say how much the kids learned from this, but at least it broke up the monotony!
