My Kids This Week

I love when my kids enjoy cleaning. I didn't even ask them to help, but Samuel offered to clean the toilets again (something is wrong with that kid) and they all took sanitizing wipes and occupied themselves for about 30 minutes. Unfortunately, Sissy fell off the counter, but that was bound to happen, right? Joel and Sarah and Mom came over one night for dinner and I caught all the cousins watching a movie (ok - the smaller girls didn't really do a lot of watching):
Samuel drug out the Pack N Play and the kids spent some time making a fort and playing in there.
Sissy takes her baby doll pillow and goes "nigh night" on it. I couldn't resist getting down on her level and taking a picture.
And Samuel ask that I take a picture of him doing his schoolwork.

Halloween 2010

I can't believe I haven't posted pictures of Halloween yet! I feel like I've had long droughts of internet time lately, choosing instead to read stories to the kiddos, help Samuel with reading lessons, carting Jude to and from school, or watching the kids during swim lessons. In other words, it's been crazy around here. And currently almost everyone in the house is sick, so I've been cooking, steeping tea and wiping noses all day. So while I listen to my Wednesday night Bible study on Ustream, I will cheat a bit and blog about the kiddos =). Jude was a knight and Samuel was Batman.
Jude in the middle of trick or treating.
Samuel showing me his loot. We have three huge glass containers of candy that should last us for the next three years.
Sissy was super feverish so she was not having any sort of costume. Look how sick her eyes are!

And here are the cousins together - this picture says it all - constant movement.

Fourth of July

I've been meaning to get these pictures up since, well, the fourth of July. Anyhoo, here they are. My brother and his family came over to celebrate with us.

Ella did NOT like the fireworks. Samuel did.

Juliet loved watching the fireworks and even tried to run toward them on numerous occasions.
This was the water can that the fireworks were extinguished into. And Juliet loved mucking around in it.

I love this picture.

More Gardening.

Sometimes I peruse my pictures in Photoshop and realize I've missed posting/editing some pretty cute ones. This particular batch is from March 24th when my brother came over with Ella and we all were out in the garden planting and playing with dirt. Ella and Juliet ate some dirt (good iron, right?) and the boys planted.

Jude found this worm and got very excited.
Got dirt?
Sometimes its fun to just crawl in the beds.

This is my favorite - snot + drool + dirt = mud. Ew.
Tasty treat.
I think they were inspecting a worm - cute batch of cousins, huh?
It's rare I get Samuel sitting still, so I had to post this one.

Easter

The kiddos and I headed out to our new church building in Wilsonville yesterday morning. It was insanely crowded and quite a trek from my neck of the woods but I'm glad I went. I spent the ride in the car talking to the boys about Resurrection Sunday and what we die eggs for (I like to tie everything into the birth and death of Jesus - I can find similarities in just about anything - it's one of my hidden talents).

I also had some family over for Easter dinner. Here are some pictures:

Sarah and Eden.
Samuel enjoying his new Legos.

Samuel's Easter shirt. Festive, I thought.
This is the only picture I caught of Juliet - she had a bit of a punk outfit on for Easter. Also, she loved this stuffed baby chicken.
Jude with red dye all over his face - not sure if that was the jelly beans or the red eggs.
Joel and Ella - such a sweet little Easter dress!

Girl Cousins

These two (Ella and Juliet) played together for the first time a few nights ago. So cute.
Um, we didn't open this can for her or anything. What is it with kids and play drinking out of soda cans?

Europe 2025. PDX to Rome, Day 1.

This trip was many months in the making. I actually love making travel plans and this one was no exception. The difference here was that t...
