Sundays.

I just thought I would capture a few Sunday pictures. Usually we go to church on Saturday night and Sundays are just about staying at home. This day we went to church and relaxed the rest of the day. Samuel puts football on, we have naps and tickling (like below)

Boss LOVES to be tickled. And I love that I captured his glee.

I tried to get a picture of Samuel in church.
Our early service at church serves doughnuts. My kids get so excited about that.
And that's it.  A lot of nothing on Sundays and we all love it. It really is a perfect way to end the week.

New Years Eve 2014 & Samuel's Birthday

Yesterday was Samuel's 10th birthday. It feels so weird to have a child that age. In some ways I felt like he was just born and in others. it seems like I can't remember what life was like before I was a mom. Samuel chose to go to Milwaukie Bowl for the first part of his party and we decided to have lunch back at our house after for anyone that wanted to come. Samuel always wants to go to Rainier with Wes overnight on his birthday - they stay up late with Grandpa. play cards and drink hot cocoa. I took tons of pictures, so be forewarned.

Here's a pic of the chaos at the bowling alley.

Colin bowled (I didn't - too tired still from December and a current sinus infection) and helped Sissy and Boss.
Right before we headed out to bowl, Colin decided to tear apart the dishwasher and clean it.
This was later in the evening  We took Wyatt so Joy and Dave could go out.
Joy and Lisa.
The kids ran laps around our house last night. At some point we asked them to get in jammies and watch The Lego Movie. Colin and I stayed in the living room and watched "Broadchurch". It's a really great British mystery series. Colin was asleep by 9 and I went to bed at 10. We must be getting old.
I love this picture - just a bunch of people in my house eating. I couldn't ask for more.
My dad made a brief appearance for Samuel's birthday.
Here's the entire group at the bowling alley.
Samuel blowing out his birthday candles. He always asks for chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.

Sissy found herself a baby. She's always happiest that way.
I asked Samuel to put the pulled pork (already cooked) but he claimed he was going to throw up if he touched it anymore. So Sissy took over.

This trip was many months in the making. I actually love making travel plans and this one was no exception. The difference here was that t...
