I feel like it's been forever since I sat down in my craft room! After a particularly hairy 24 shift with the kids yesterday, I snuck in my room alone to finish this page this morning. I do so love the polaroid picture trend right now - I just converted my regular photos to these little polaroids and resized in Photoshop. The kids scrapbooks are starting to fill up and I love that - I just hope I can keep it up after the baby arrives!

February Scrapbook Pages
Once again I had an insanely hard time with these pages. I scraplifted this page from Maggie Holmes and realized it would be a lot easier if I had the entire kit sitting in front of me like she undoubtedly did. However, I powered through and decided to simplify it a bit, knowing that years down the road, I probably won't remember what embellishments were left out.
I finished the page below yesterday, with Juliet sitting next to me the entire time. She played with glitter glue and watched "Sense and Sensibility". What a girl!!
My craft space is a mess, but I'm ok with that. I have one more layout to finish for Samuel, then I'm off to make a bag for myself.

Scrapbook Page - January
This month I chose to do a scrapbook page on Juliet's second birthday. The page went surprisingly quick and I will be doing an identical one for Samuel's birthday.
And here is what Juliet is currently looking like:
She usually has blueberry all over her face and her hair is a curly mess. In this picture she is offering me her doll, which she has recently taken an interest in.

Scrapbook Page - November
Here are the pages I did for November for the kiddos' albums. I did not post Jude's page because some tiny little hands got hold of it and started peeling essential items off. At any rate, here's Samuel's page:
This was the bird that Samuel caught and has never forgotten. He was always asking to see pictures of Yellowtail, so I figured this was a useful page in his album.
And I think this page for Juliet pretty much sums her up. She's always into something she shouldn't be - my favorite picture is of her digging down the back of her pants. The fact that I took a picture instead of stopped her makes me giggle.
Have a great Monday!

Scrapbook Night - October
I loved this month's layout!! Sewing, paper piecing, transparencies - all good things. Here's how the first one turned out:
And here's the second one:

I am actually going to do a third one with the same design because I am so behind on my scrapbooking that I need to start doing multiple layouts at once.

Scrapbook Layout (September)
For this month I chose this for my inspiration:
And came up with this:
It was about Jude's first day of school, because I really want to document it.
I love stitching on my scrapbook pages.
This was done in about 2 1/2 hours (not counting the hour or so it took to haul all my crafty stuff out to the living room =). Now I'm onto sewing Christmas presents. So fun!

Scrapbook Page (August)
I had my monthly scrapbook night last night and came up with this:
I realized how happy I am to have this one thing on the calendar every month because most of the time, it's the only for sure thing I do for myself with friends in any given month. I seem to be in a season of serving my family first, but this gives me a nice little break. Ironically enough, I scrapbook for my kids to enjoy later in life =).
The morning after, my boys always wake up to my scrapbook-overloaded living room and ask to play with a million things. "Mama? Can I play with this cutter? What is this paint stuff? Mama? Can I open this?"
Jude basked in the Martha Stewart punch this morning:

My Craft Space
This is my current craft space in the living room. Incredibly cluttered - which means I am actually getting something done.
I started at 5:30 this morning. This spot has such an incredible view of the rain outside (blech).
And I always have a cup of some caffeinated beverage close at hand. And the light? I just purchased an OttLite on the clearance rack and am now figuring out why it was on clearance - the random shutting off it does at inopportune moments. Unless that is a safety feature?

Scrapbook Page - May

Here's my scrapbook page for the month. For the remainder of my craft time (as I can grab a few moments here and there) I will be making my aunt some bandannas as she is undergoing chemo and I'm also learning how to make pj's for the kiddos. Samuel has the first completed pair of pants and Jude's a bit jealous =). I may also be making a friend an apron (which I love)!

Craft Table.
I am in the process of finishing up orphaned scrapbook pages - the ones I start but had to hastily store away because company was coming over. So, here's my craft table currently - I love these family pics Mindy took - I have included them in a few albums.
I am so behind on Juliet's baby book. I am hoping that since I am keeping up with her feats on my blog, that I will be able to catch up on her baby book someday. Like when I'm 80 and have time...Anyone doing any fun crafts currently?

Scrapbook Page - March
I've been having a scrapbook night at my house once a month for the past three months - I pick out a design in a magazine and my sister-in-law and a friend join in the fun at my house. I found that if I don't schedule it in, it won't happen. So, here's the page from this month:
It had a memory board element on the bottom. So fun.
I've been insanely busy with the kiddos and all their misbehaviors, but I am planning a theme-y gathering in Sunday night. Pictures to come next week, if I'm not too embarrassed to reveal what the theme is.

Scrapbook Page - First Steps
I finished this scrapbook page last night. So fun! I've been using this scrapbooking book like crazy for inspiration.
I'm amazed at how hard it is to find time to finish crafty stuff, but this is so worth it.

A Wild Hair

I seem to always reason away craft time for something more exciting. Like laundry. Or taking out the garbage. But today I put all reasonableness aside, stepped over the piles of toys and used nap time to create this quickie scrapbook page about Juliet at 9 months. Done in about one hour. I have to say that I used two transparencies here and that is one finicky product.
